Beyond RC: Missions and Outreaches
Founding Rock Church pastor Linda Knight had a passion to seek and help children in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. These children lived in a dump, not far from fancy vacation destinations in the city. These children had little chance of becoming something great. Pastor Linda led The Rock Church to Mexico and ignited a dream in the generous hearts of many, resulting in establishing a future for children of Puerto Vallarta. The School of Champions was founded, providing a place for children to learn and grow. It is this dedication and passion The Rock Church puts forth in its outreaches and missions.
ProvideHope.com
The Rock Church began ProvideHope.com to be the giving arm of the church. ProvideHope.com is a 503(c) Not-For-Profit entity controlled by The Rock Church. Donations to ProvideHope.com are tax-deductible, and since it is separate from The Rock Church, corporations can give tax-deductible offerings.
ProvideHope.com has three major giving campaigns: Big Parade Day, Turkey Dinner, and HopeTown Christmas Toy Drive. The campaigns help our children's future, support families in need, and make holidays special for many.
Missions
The Rock Church mission field is vast. Missions to Mexico, Jamaica, and Africa created strong ties and spread the Gospel around the world. The Rock Church has supported missionaries around the world, helping reach people who have never heard of God or Jesus Christ.
Each year The Rock Church plans a mission outside the US in effort to mightily affect change in the world. If you are interested in going out into the mission field, contact the church office at 360.805.0699 or email info@trclife.com.
Car 76 & Car 70
A church on a race car? In 2001, The Rock Church ventured out of the box and supported local racer Roger Habich. Over the past years, The Rock Church has been involved in Car 76, and in 2007, Car 70 driven by Pastor Jeff Knight.
In a sport full of passionate, supportive, and serving people, bringing Christ to the racers and fans makes sense. Many racers stay up all night to make a race. Crew members volunteer their time, energy, money, and life to the sport. As The Rock Church Connects people to Life!, what better way than being an example of Life! at the local track? The Rock Church's involvement in racing has brought God and Jesus to thousands- well worth the cost.
