SERVE:


SERVE: Adopt-A-Block Monroe

Adopt-A-Block is a ministry that SERVES hot meals every Tuesday evening to multiple communities in need as well as the homeless in our area. There are various areas for you to get involved such as: cooking, sorting donated groceries, serving the meals, talking with and praying for people and many more!

SERVE: Adopt-A-Block Ellensburg

There are various areas for you to get involved such as: cooking, sorting donated groceries, serving the meals, talking with and praying for people and many more!

JILL

Jill, TRC’s Ministry to Women, would like you to be a part of our events by serving in an area that best fits your God-given talents while connecting with the women of The Rock Church. The following areas are available for you to serve:

Guest Registration Team

Purpose: To assimilate all the women at our events

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating all sign ups: Includes sign ups for the event as well as any activities scheduled during the event (i.e. pamper zones, workshops, future event sign ups).
  • Administration: Compile and duplicate all event material for distribution during the events. Assemble any gift bags or registration gifts
  • Event contact calls: A follow up phone call adds a personal touch to our ministry. The guest registration team will be responsible for contacting attendees and volunteers to confirm their registration, notifying volunteers of work days as well as soliciting additional help when needed.
  • After party: Coordinate the gathering of all volunteers to meet after the event. The purpose of the gathering is to recap, process, share testimonies and to set the vision for future events.


Hospitality Team

Purpose: Provide the WELCOME MAT for our guest and family.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and facilitate the special touches. This includes the lobby, bathrooms and key areas around the meeting area.
  • Arrange door prizes/gifts.
  • Assure the care of our volunteers.
  • Provide the hospitality for our guest speakers.
  • First time guests
  • The Lounge Team
  • Enlist First Impressions for the event

 

Workshops/Activities/Rock the Shoe Boutique Team

Purpose: To provide an avenue for Jills to shop for a cause. In the event workshops or activities are included in Jill, this team will head the festivities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in any and/or all things related to our Rock the Shoe Boutique 
  • Prep work beforehand, set-up and displaying of boutique items, day of event assistants, auction clean-up, administrative details, etc.

Decor Team

Purpose: Assist the creative team in bringing the theme for each event to reality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create the atmosphere for the event.  Assist in the planning of décor elements based on the theme of the event.
  • Assembling the creative elements.  Work with the team to set up (and take down) the décor

Kitchen / Food / Beverage Team

Purpose: Plan and facilitate the serving of all food, snacks and drinks for the event.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the event coordinator to plan a menu that fits with the theme and budget.  Work closely with registration team to determine quantity of food/beverages that are needed including last minute sign ups.
  • Determine set up and distribution of food.  Include the take down and any additional clean up supplies needed in the plan.

Prayer Team

Purpose: Gather the Jills to pray.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be a valuable part of Jill by joining forces with other Jills interceding in prayer for the Jills and events.  “Where two or more are gathered…”


General Liasion

Purpose: To integrate Grid Jills into all aspects of Jill. Helps keep Jill events fresh and relevant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be sure Jill is promoted to Little Jills through Grid Jills
  • Lend ideas for every aspect of Jill
  • Provide info on upcoming Lifesavers & Grid events we can promote at Jill (ie. Camp, VBS)
  • Join Jills from Grid with team leaders to serve
  • Work with director to create/include special events and/or touches within Jill events for the younger Jills (Grid and Little)
  • Gather Jills to fundraise for Jill registration

SERVE and Get it done team
Purpose: This team will facilitate wherever help is needed: pre, during and after event.

Key Responsibilities may include the following:
  • Set up and tear down of the event.
  • Assist in assembling of any gift bags and meeting materials.
  • Stage crew to help with presentations (i.e. add and remove illustration items before or during the presentations).
  • Being the extra hand to any of the above teams.

This team is for the miracle workers that are willing to “jump in wherever you are needed” to make the event a success.
