About the GRID 29:11
The GRID 29:11 is a youth-centered facility located at The Rock Church. The Rock Church's Total Velocity Ministries (TVM) meet there Saturday nights at 8pm and Sunday morning at 11am.
The first part, GRID, is just a cool name we came up with. The 29:11 refers to Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." NKJV
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." NKJV
Everything that we can think of to put God's impartation in young people. In addition to weekly youth-centered services, the GRID 29:11 is host to an indoor skate park, half-court basketball court, coffee house, XBOX 360s & WIIs, and a game parlor.
Yes, with limitations. Obviously the facility is used during the weekend and is unavailable Friday and Saturday nights, and Sunday mornings. Being a house of worship (a really cool house), alcohol, smoking, and inappropriate music/movies are not allowed.
Every Friday the GRID 29:11 is open to the young people of the community from 6pm to Midnight. As a youth facility, 6th grade to College age young adults are admitted. In addition, there is a no re-entry policy. Once a youth is checked in, he/she may not leave the GRID and come back in the same evening.
Admittance to GRID Friday Nights is free, as is all of The Rock Church's services. All games and activities are also free. There are snacks and drinks available for purchase. The GRID 29:11 has soda, water, coffee and smoothies.
