As ambassadors of God in the communities where we live, we are purposing to bring LIFE with the sole intent of making Jesus famous, bringing glory to God. Giving food and hope to those in need in the Sky Valley community as an opportunity to extend our generosity has been happening through TRC with your help for over 20 years.
This year, we have provided a HUGE opportunity through the Hauler of Hope to gather, give out and feed thousands of people turkey dinners for Thanksgiving.
Hauler of Hope
- 11.13-11.19 – Hauler of Hope at Alberstons
- Thursday 11.17 @ 1pm – the box truck will come back to TRC to drop off the first load. We will need a team to help unload and depending on the quantity we may and sort and make bags.
- Friday 11.18 @ 1pm – the box truck will come back to TRC to drop off the 2nd load. We need a team to help unload.
- Sat 11.19 – (after the Team LIFE meeting) we will need a team to sort and bag for Sunday
- Sat 11.19 @7pm – the box truck will come back to TRC. Depending on how many bags we have Sat afternoon will determine if we will need to unload and sort.
Sunday 11.20 - Volunteers needed for:
- Voucher/ticket exchange: 2-4 volunteers needed before and after the 11.30 service. This year we are doing an exchange. When people arrive for the 11.30 service they will be need to exchange their voucher for a ticket (there will be a table set up for this in the foyer). The amount of tickets that we have available will match the amount of dinners that we have. Following the 11.30 service, people will be able to line up to receive their dinner.
- Hand out the bags: 8-10 volunteers needed to help hand out bags.
- Meet and greet: an army of volunteers to help meet people and help people if they want out to their cars.
- Translating: need 4-6 bilingual volunteers
