For Parents

The youth ministry of The Rock Church can be summed up in six words: “Keeping Life in front of teens.” Our purpose is to create a safe and relevant environment where students from sixth to twelfth grade can find life change, purpose and hope. We desire to provide an atmosphere that causes students to grow and become the person God intended them to be. To provide safety we have implemented a check in process to keep our students safe.

In order to “Keep Life in front of Teens,” we have a five fold strategy called the Five Stones. Here they are:

  1. Weekly Service – We provide a safe and inviting atmosphere for our students and their friends to experience God through worship and the Word. Every week they will hear Biblical truth presented in a relative way, so they can understand and grow in God’s Word.

  2. Events – We hold two types of events for our students; outreach focused events and fun factor events. Our outreach focused events are designed to provide opportunities for our students to serve their community and reach out to their peers. Our fun factor events are events that build relationships through fun experiences.

  3. Discipleship – Discipleship is designed to equip our students to become experts in living Godly lives by teaching them the Word of God in an atmosphere that inspires growth.

  4. Campus Ministry – Our campus ministry goes hand in hand with our outreach focused events. The purpose is to help provide creative ways for our students to invite their peers to the GRID.

  5. Follow Up – Whether it’s a first time guest or someone who hasn’t attended for some time, follow up is designed to go above and beyond what people expect to make students feel welcome and let them know we care about them.

Our vision for students in GRID is to see salvations, students making right choices, to have students who serve their community and around the world in missions, and to have generous students who recognize the value of giving of themselves to a vision that desires to change their world.
